Your Wedding Day Makeup

On our wedding day we all want to look fabulous, right? No one wants to walk down the isle looking like a drag queen (well…come to think of it, I know some drag queens that are FAB-U-LOUS!). But back to my point; at your wedding, hundreds, maybe even thousands (if you are anything like me) of pictures will be taken of you. These pictures may possibly last longer than your marriage! Ha! I joke, but seriously, these pictures will be looked at for many years to come. So think about YOUR classic look. What is it about yourself that you always get compliments on? Is it your hair? If so, then why in Gods name are you going to tie it up in a tight little librarian bun then cover it with tulle? Let those locks flow, baby! Dance around with flowers in your hair! Same goes for makeup. If you have wonderfully plump lips that every girlfriend of yours is after…do not wear dark lipstick! Accentuate those pucker-uppers with a baby pink gloss. If you are of the darker skinned group, a nice mauve-pinky brown works well. Throw a little clear gloss on top and voila! You are after all, trying to accomplish the best YOU…not that skinny little bitch in the bridal magazine that is getting paid $500 to stand there and pose. She’s ugly when she wakes up in the morning, too…don’t you worry! I’ve seen her...and I’ve had to fix her.

Another thing we want out of our look on our wedding day is for it to last. Last through the pictures, last through the tears, and last through the drunken debauchery that comes at the reception! (Yes, I know your Uncle Bob!) But really, who wants to be all oily and eating their mascara 2 hours in to an entire day and night of great memories? Not you. So let’s talk about airbrush makeup. By far, hands down, a quality airbrush makeup application of at least foundation, highlighter & blush will have you wishing you could keep your makeup artist forever. Typically I get a good 8-12 hours out of an application. Keep a nice pink lip-gloss in your bridal bag for touch ups and you are good all day. There…now hire me.
